(Lower Prerequisites can be applied to Shallow Water Lifeguard or Aquatic Attraction Lifeguard)

American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Course prepares you to teach people of all ages and abilities to swim and be safe in, on, and around water. Must attend all classes.
PREREQUISITES: 25-yard front crawl, backcrawl, breaststroke, sidestroke, elementary backstroke, 15 yards butterfly, 1-minute tread, and back float. All strokes must be performed at a Level 4 skill level.

Learn to draw or paint even if you have never taken an art class. As a practicing artist, learn ways to make your drawings and paintings more accurate and more exciting! Students will work on subjects of their choice and will be encouraged to develop their own original styles to reach personal goals. Supply list available at registration. Students may arrive up to 15 minutes prior to start time.

Tournaments are held as singles and mixed. Singles are usually played as a ladder, with both women and men placed in the continuum according to ability for 3 matches in an abbreviated format. Our one-day mixed doubles tournaments are usually contested in ability-based multi-round compass draws with 3 matches in an abbreviated format.

The perfect class for those new to tennis. Instruction will focus on crucial tennis techniques such as grip, and basic stroke development. Each week skills will be revisited, and new skills introduced.

If you’ve got the basics down but are looking to take those skills to the next level, this is the class for you. Basics are reviewed briefly in each class. In addition, our instructors will work with you to add elements like speed, power, and accuracy to your game. Additional shots are taught, lob, volley, overhead. Instructors will also discuss gameplay strategies like court positioning, shot location, basic tactics, and "Live Ball” point play is incorporated.

For players beyond beginner level. Each session will work on fine-tuning basic skills and strokes. Serve and footwork will be instructed. "Live Ball” rallying between players is introduced.

Therapeutic programs for players with special needs include youth and adults with developmental challenges/disabilities and those with autism. All are conducted by professionals with specific training and experience in the field. LSA Adults meet on the 2nd & 4th Thursdays. Full session enrollment is required and includes 6 classes per session. Classes may be joined in progress at a pro-rated fee if space permits.

Stabilization and balance training helps to improve coordination and adaptability, both of which are essential for senior wellness. A certified senior specialist through NASM, Diane will lead you through exercises in a proprioceptively enriched environment to train muscular control. Her passion is to help others regain their strength and enjoy life. No class on Feb 27 or Mar 19.

Welcome to a cardio-strengthening, muscle-toning, low impact full body workout to propel you toward your fitness goals. Led by a certified personal trainer and wellness coach, every workout and exercise are modifiable to meet your individual needs. First time participants and those with limitations should arrive 10 minutes early for class. Bring your own mat and let us coach you to success! Each month our certified instructors will lead clinics with a hyper focus on specific skills and strokes. If there’s an aspect of your game that needs work, these are the classes for you. Each session will end with live-ball gameplay to apply the skills addressed.

Music, fitness and tennis are combined in this intense hour (or 1.5 hr) of drills and games. A variety of NTRP levels from 3.0 and up are encouraged (players should be able to rally with consistency).

This drop-in class is restricted to certain individuals. Please note that registration may be cancelled if certain criteria are not met.
