Join us for a day of fun at Harrah’s Casino in Pompano Beach! Registration includes transportation and a complimentary $15 free play card. Participants will meet at the Mirasol Center, 12385 Jog Road, 33418 at 10:00am to depart and will be returning at 3:00pm.

LSA Adults meet at the Tennis Center on the 2nd & 4th Thursdays. Full session enrollment is required at PBGREC.COM/LOGIN and includes 6 classes per session. Classes may be joined in progress at a pro-rated fee if space permits.

Candidates successfully completing the class will be certified in Lifeguarding, Standard First, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Attendance at all classes is required.
PREREQUISITES: Must be able to complete a swim-tread-swim sequence successfully: Swim 150 yards continuously using front crawl or breaststroke. After swimming 150 yards, tread for 2 minutes without the use of arms/hands. After maintaining position at the water's surface for 2 minutes, swim 50 more yards. Must be able to swim 20 yards, submerge and retrieve a 10lb brick, return to the surface, and swim 20 yards back to the starting point within 1 minute and 40 seconds. Lower prerequisites can be applied to Shallow Water Lifeguards. *Prerequisites are subject to change due to Red Cross updates.

American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Course prepares you to teach people of all ages and abilities to swim and be safe in, on, and around water. Must attend all classes.
PREREQUISITES: 25-yard front crawl, backcrawl, breaststroke, sidestroke, elementary backstroke, 15 yards butterfly, 1-minute tread, and back float. All strokes must be performed at a Level 4 skill level.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Recognize specific characteristic behaviors of distressed swimmers and active and passive drowning victims; recognize aquatic emergencies and act promptly and appropriately; perform equipment-based rescue skills and techniques used by professional lifeguards; recognize and care for possible spinal cord injuries; learn to provide first aid and CPR.
PREREQUISITES: Must be a currently certified American Red Cross Lifeguard or within the 30-day grace period of expiration. Must be able to complete all prerequisites of a Lifeguard upon arrival on the first day of class.

Learn the basics of cookie decorating and how to decorate sugar cookies with Royal Icing. Basic techniques include flooding, piping and wet on wet, etc. Decorating utensils will be provided for use in class and all materials are included. No prior experience needed! A favorite of skilled players with limited time. People of various levels play, including some very strong competitors. Formats take ability level into account. Tournaments are held as singles and mixed. Singles are usually played as a ladder, with both women and men placed in the continuum according to ability for 3 matches in an abbreviated format. Our one-day mixed doubles tournaments are usually contested in ability-based multi-round compass draws with 3 matches in an abbreviated format.

The perfect class for those new to tennis. Instruction will focus on crucial tennis techniques such as grip, and basic stroke development. Each week skills will be revisited, and new skills introduced.

If you’ve got the basics down but are looking to take those skills to the next level, this is the class for you. Basics are reviewed briefly in each class. In addition, our instructors will work with you to add elements like speed, power, and accuracy to your game. Additional shots are taught, lob, volley, overhead. Instructors will also discuss gameplay strategies like court positioning, shot location, basic tactics, and live ball point play are incorporated.

For players beyond beginner level. Each session will work on fine-tuning basic skills and strokes. Serve and footwork will be instructed. "Live Ball” rallying between players is introduced.

Welcome to a cardo-strengthening, muscle toning, low impact full body workout that will help you reach your fitness goals. Every workout and exercise can be modified to meet your individual needs. No class Nov 29.

New! Chair Yoga is great for all! Get all the benefits of traditional mat yoga without having to get up and down from the ground. Poses will be done on or behind the chair so you can hold on if needed or remain seated the entire time. Going at your own pace is strongly encouraged. These adult pickleball intensive camps are designed for all players and all levels. Our pickleball camps are the perfect place to sharpen your skills while working on your strokes and growing your knowledge of the game. Lunch is included in this 4.5-hour day.

Each month our certified instructors will lead clinics with a hyper focus on specific skills and strokes. If there’s an aspect of your game that needs work, these are the classes for you. Each session will end with live-ball gameplay to apply the skills addressed.
