PD-1.4 - AUTHORITY, RESPONSIBILITY AND ORGANIZATION PD Policy and Procedures The organizational structure of the Department shall be organized by function as directed by the Chief of Police, and responsibility shall be assigned by delegated authority in accordance with the designated organizational structure. The Chief of Police shall be the head of this Department as designated by the City Manager in accordance with the city charter, and the Chief shall have the authority and responsibility for the management, direction, operation, and administration of the Department. Members are given full authority to make decisions necessary for the effective execution of their duties and responsibilities. All members shall be responsible for their use of delegated authority as well as the failure to use it.
PD-2.1 - PUBLIC EMPLOYEE OATH PD Rules and Regulations All persons who now or hereafter are employed by or who now or hereafter are on the payroll of the state, or any of its departments and agencies, subdivisions, counties, cities, school boards and districts of the free public school system of the state or counties, or institutions of higher learning, except candidates for federal office, are required to take an oath before any person duly authorized to take acknowledgments of instruments for public record in the state in the following form
